RE: [VAL] Led's

Actually, it makes no difference what's wired where,
as the charger is always in parallel with the battery,
meaning that it will send it's charge to the battery
and "house" wiring at the same time, with the same
voltage. There will be a small measurable voltage drop
when measured at a 12V light or 12V outlet, due to
wiring and connector losses, but it should not be more
than 0.1 V or so.
In addition, parallel to that is the charge line from
the alternator, which varies in voltage from vehicle
to vehicle, but might even exceed 14V at times.
So it might be best to assume that there will be 14V
available at the system at times, and provide ample
protection to sensitive electronics like LED's . Most
automotive/rv 12V devices can easily handle
overvoltages like such.
