RE: [VAL] Led's

Uwe,

There must be something to the notion that the battery acts as a
"buffer" of sort to help smooth out voltage spikes and fluctuations.
Else, why did Airstream distribute a re-wiring scheme way back in 1965
to eliminate "boiling" of batteries? In that bulletin Airstream
admitted that changing all three 12 volt circuits to run "off the load
circuit of the Univolt" will cause "charger hum from the speakers."
Subsequently, Airstream began running a "separate wire (circuit #4)
from the battery for the TV plug over the refrigerator and for the
radio. These units must be run off the battery to eliminate the
charger hum from the speakers." If it is all the same as you say then
why does the battery help stop charger speaker hum?
