Hmm, I thought at one time that three wires were required for an effective
GFI.  In reality, there's only a difference in hot/neutral that is required
to pop the GFI.  Therefore, the GFI protects more than the appliance being
used.  The shell of the trailer is also protected, regardless of the ground
wire.

Just my opinion and not wanting to have a shocking experience.
