Dr. J,
This is the teardrop marker
http://www.vintagetrailersupply.com/product_p/vts-214.htm they don't call it
Path Finder and is $4.95 plus the freight. The base is aluminum and I have
high polished one and it really polishes good. The holes are a perfect
match, but the overall size is slightly smaller than the steel Bargman so
the rust affected skin is not completely concealed much to my
disappointment. I have ordered the LED 9mm bayonet base bulb in wide angle
dispersion single LED which should come from www.SuperBrightLeds.com on
Monday or Tuesday for testing in the lights. I ordered the red and the
amber. They were $.79 each. I ordered some 1156 white bulbs and 1.5 inch
boards 1156 super bright white leds for the interior lighting. I ordered 7
of the 194 glass spade base "peanut" bulbs in amber for my F350 markers and
turn signals. These and any white are very pricey. This is all an expensive
test for me, but if works is far less expensive than the Thin Lite
fluorescent fixtures. I hope I like cause there is no return. You know of my
zeal for LED's and when I found the sight, with pricing starting at $.79
instead of $5 each, and a selection of position projection, I just had to
finally give it a try. I just wish white was not so consistently higher in
any LED. I wish the price of the new square LED's would come down. If this
works, I will order the white standard based 12v bulb to replace the
incandescent barn-burner bulbs in the stove hood.
I hope this is successful for the interior lighting. If whiter and brighter,
house battery run time should increase from 4 to 12 hours with all lights
running, to 168 hours or more by my calculations without the heat and heat
damages to the fixture lenses. I ordered 1 candelabra base in 12 v for the
grab handle lamp. I will be really interested in these results, which I hope
I really like.
Somebody is stamping out these PathFinder Teardrop lights. There are two
people constantly selling them on ebay, and then VTS. If they can have a
profit margin at $4.95 and $5.95 on ebay, then there is a supplier somewhere
and hopefully a direct buy source.
Thank you for your reply.
