You are saying you plan to travel with your family all the way from VA to 
Salem, OR without the pleasure of air-conditioning in your tow vehicle? 
That is, if your wife gets past the "almost" part of her questioning what 
surely must be your current state of sanity? ;)

I don't know how you suffered through the heat and drought conditions of 
Springfield, MO recently.  Were you able to at least cool off inside one of 
your fellow camper's trailers who had electricity running from a noisy 
generator that was placed in front of his tow vehicle?  Did you see that 
one?  I'm hoping that someone took mercy upon you seeing as you might have 
been at risk due to heat-stroke or worse (maybe that is now playing into 
your wife's "almost" statement?).

As I said before, my hat is off to you - if you want to do it the "Wally 
way" as you re-enact the pitfalls and discomforts from days gone by.  I'm 
sure that even Wally must have been thinking all the time that there just 
had to be a better way of doing things - otherwise Airstream as we know it 
today wouldn't have come as far as they have.  Agreed?

I see that the heat is miserable in your part of the country as well, please 
get OUT of the sun for a little while at least.  Okay? ;)
