Re: [VAL] Charlie B re:Wayne Re: Vintage Airstream Club International

I thought you might like to hear some of the consideration that goes
into rally site selections. I didn't mention that the altitude is on the
high side also.
The boss and I tripped over the place last year on the way back from
Lansing to Idaho. It is truly amazing. The facilities are relatively
new. One of their pavilions is so big you could hold a region sized
rally inside. Just imagine. When we were there they were working on a
bond issue to add another 100,000 under roof.

I just went to find the website and realized I had misspelled it, it is
Cam-Plex. Their site is http://www.cam-plex.com/pages/index.htm if you
would like to look see.

Selection of the International Rally Site is the responsibility of the
3rd International VP. It is one of the more politically sensitive issues
dealt with at that level. Eastern or Western, were was the last one
etc., etc. The perception is that people will not travel cross country
unless there is a major draw besides the rally. And yes more than a few
use the International as a starting point to meet up with friends and
explore the area.

Just food for thought.
