Ron,

    One of he pit falls of trying to repair/replace copper tubing and
fittings in any coach that has been exposed to temperatures low enough to
cause freezing ruptures is that the copper expands everywhere till it
bursts. Because water in the pipes freezes at different rates (depending on
heat loss in that part of the trailer) you will see many breaks at different
locations. The problem is that you can still have expansion of the pipe and
fittings at locations where there appears to be no damage. When this occurs
and you try to replace that pipe and standard fittings it is a different
size yet when you try the next standard size up it wont fit either.
There are two methods of resolving this.
    One:
Reinforced PVC Tubing Rated at 250PSI @ 70Deg F and hose clamps  to repair
the damaged sections

    Two:
Replace the whole system with your choice of materials (RPVC, Copper, Brass,
CPVC,  & Rubber Hose If you don't mind the smell)

My Personal favorite would be to replace the entire system with RPVC and
Brass fittings. They will withstand a minor freeze without catastrophic
results because of the flexibility of the RPVC.
