Re: [VAC] plumbing

I had the same problem and I convered from the original copper tubing to
Pex plastic tubing with Pex compression fitting. All in all the job took
about two days. The trailer was pretty well striped inside so I was able to
get to everything without a lot of trouble. Since I had several spliced
areas in the copper tubing with reinforced hose and clamps I decided to made
my initial connection at the pressure regulator by means of a 1/2" pipe
fitting to 1/2' Pex fitting. From there is was just a matter of running the
tubing and making the connections. It really does look good. I also replaced
the bath faucet and shower mixer since they were both bad. No leaks

From a cost stand point the Pex fittings can get pricey. The tubing itself
is around $15 per 20'. I estimate that I spent about $200 for the job, not
counting the fixtures which I would have replace anyway. They have a section
on PEX. Good Luck
