Hi Jim: I've had everything from foam, water bed, regular old 
mattresses, etc. I am sold on natural Latex foam - we bought an 
Englander queen for the house and twins for the guest room. They are 
great, easy on my aches and pains and they hold up really, really well. 
I'm thinking about putting them in the Airstream but haven't yet simply 
because I haven't used it for long trips yet.
