Re: [VAL] furnance noise

Brian,

Was the furnance even on? On the furnace, you should have one motor.
The only time this motor will run is during the operation of the furnace.
Even as the furnace cycles on and of to keep the trailer at the temp. set.
When it reaches that temp, the furnace will shutoff leaving only the pilot
light on. When the temp falls below the set temp, the motor will turn on
clearing the chambers of any gases, pilot lights the burner, heat is blown
out ducts until temp is reached, it shuts-off again and so on. So if you hear
a noise and the thing is off, you have something else squeeling. Was the water
pump running at the time? I sometimes have a screw that hold the waterpump
in place come loose and the turning of the pump will rub up against something
and make a squeeling noise.
