The problem is that the bulb is on all the time. Whether or not I am pushing
the switch asking for a reading. This morning with the old battery installed
this was not the case, and no it was not dead, just weak. This afternoon
with a new battery the stupid light is on all the time unless I disconnect
the battery!

Thanks Daisy, I will pull the bulb out tonight until I can look into it.
