Is your spare tire carrier on the rear of your rig? If so, why not just adjust the hitch so the trailer rides a bit high in the rear, and see if that gives you clearance. Don't adjust it so much that the hitch head or bars hit the road, tho. Bob Hightower WBCCI 11365
