Hello,
I will be replacing the same support in my 59 tomorrow morning. The
screws will hit two wall ribs and the rest will go through the interior
skin with no other support. I am in the process of determining if I can
get rid of screws and go to rivets for this project to protect to new
wiring I have installed. I do know that it should support the bed if you
go through the skin as the 59 I am restoring show no stress in that
area.
