[VAL] Roof Vents

I think I need to replace the roof vent in the rear of our trailer as it
seems to be a point of some leakage.  The PO replaced the plastic top but
the inside is a bit of a mess, the square hole you look up through has a
sort of white uneven hard surface (maybe some kind of spackle that has been
painted?) and the plastic top is held on by a thin metal stip sort of jammed
into this "spackle".  I know this can't be right!

I wonder if anyone out there could send me a picture of what it is supposed
to look like and maybe where I could find the bits we're missing.  I'm
hoping if I put it all back together as was then it may stop the leak.
