Elisa, I'm not sure. Doug is sometimes on this list so maybe he will answer.
You might find the explanation my doing a search on awnings in the archives
at www.tompatterson . I saw his awning attached and set up at a Vintage
rally a couple of years ago. I think he could put it up by himself by
standing on a small portable ladder and hooking the grommets over the hooks
in the awning rail. If I were doing it I would go to a good hardware store
and see what kind of hooks they had and that might suggest a way to me of
attaching them to the awning rail. In fact, I may go to my favorite "old
fashioned" hardware store with a million items (none on blister packs) and
see what I can find. That might be a temporary solution for us during out
trip to the beach at Destin, FL in a couple of weeks. Eventually, I will get
a Zip Dee automatic awning.
