Current Univolts, with packaging weigh 8.6 pounds. Does that means the 
Intelli-charger has a negative weight? It would seem that way if it's 20 
pounds less. The Intelli-charger does weigh about 20 pounds less than the 
Univolts from the 70's, but so do today's Univolt. 
Also Airstreams "Univolt" sells for less money than the Intelli-charger, AND, 
you can't buy any rebuilts, as you can with the Intelli-charger, because they 
don't fail like the Intelli-charger.
Not quite fair to compare todays technology with yesteryears. Most everything 
today is a vast improvement from the past.
