  I was comparing the I-P to the old UniVolt, which is probably what the 
original poster is now using. The I-P weighs about 4.5#, IIRC, and the 
Charge Wizard adds another ounce or 2.

Dunno about failures of the I-P, as mine hasn't in the 3 years I've had 
it. Haven't heard of others failing, either. That was NOT the case with 
a "factory refurbed" StatPower charger/converter that I had. That thing 
lasted about 3 weeks before the factory smoke escaped. Perhaps you're 
thinking of those?

My recommendation of the Inteli-Power converter is based on my 
experience and that of a number of others. Some are on this forum, some 
are on others (Escapees & IRV2). I've heard NO negative comments and 
plenty of positive remarks.

Also, my recommendation of the I-P is not meant to disparage the 'new' 
UniVolt that A/S now uses, I have no experience with that unit. However, 
unless it is a true 3-stage battery charger, I still wouldn't consider 
it over an Inteli-Power.
