I have a Monogram Industries Monomatic re-circulating toilet
which I am
fixing to put out for trash pickup tomorrow morning. It was in my Streamline Travel Home, and I have just finished removing the Monomatic and replacing it with a modern Thetford. I believe that the Monomatic still works. Certainly, when the recirculating button was pushed, there was a whirring noise, as though the toilet was trying to do something. It appears that you do not need a water line to the toilet, only a 12V line to the circulating motor. It is charged with four gals. of water which is used and reused until you change it out at some point. Some type of deoderant/breakdown agent is added to the water. I don't know what the blackwater tank arrangement was. This is an above floor model, and the tank, if any, was below the floor and is still in place. I am attaching a picture of this little gem. You can see the wiring at the top left of the toilet. It attaches to a regular
toilet flange. You can probably find out more about the toilet through a search engine. They were a marine toilet, and used in boats. If anyone is interested in taking this one, please let me know before I get rid of it in the morning. - Tom |
