When I bought my airstream the fresh water tank had not been used for a very 
long time. I dumper 3 gel of swiming pool clorine into the fresh water tank 
than opened the fawcets incluhing the hot water tank let the pump run until I 
could smell the clorine at each outlet.I than put an air hose into tht filler 
openong and turn on the air at low volium and let run for an hour. I had to 
repeat the process 3 times to get all the krapp out of the system. 2 renses. 
and the system is in good shape. I also installed a charcoal filter in the 
system so all water is filtered eather from a campsite with full hookup or 
from the holding tank.
