Re: [VAC] old 1959

Michael, with the repack job (check and adjust the brakes at the same time)
you should have no problem with the axles. I have a 1960 26 footer with a
single axle and have had no problems with it. We plan on traveling over 6000
miles with it this summer.
About the floor problem, it is fixable, but first find the leak. The water
leak is not from below, but from above. Obtain some Vulkem (sp?) caulking
and apply it as needed to the seams all over the trailer from the top vents
to the bottom of the sides. Don't forget to check the inner window frames
and the weatherstripping around any doors. It is also possible that some of
the plumbing leaks back in the rear (since this is where one of the bad
spots on the floor is). You may also want to check the floor around the hot
water and fresh water tanks.
If you decide to pass on this trailer, please let me know. I live in Ohio
and would love a chance at getting it.
