I have few ideas about the electrical.  Sounds like a fuse or breaker if the
lights went out really fast.
I do know about the material to cover those long slits that the rod runs
through that raises the window.  Airstream still makes that.  We found some
from the dealer in Oklahoma City.  We tried everything else and only the
original felt stuff work really well.
