JD,   I replaced the buss box in my 73  SS, with a 45 amp intelepower unit
that I purchased on ebay for 125. dollars,and a nice little dc  load
panel(has a hinged aluminum door) from parralax power supply  LLC,don"t
remember the price,but it was reasonable. Takes up very little space in that
compartment.I installed a partition in the compartment,and now have added
outside storage.        Tom W.
