LaDona, Good deal on the fridge. There is a freebie for ya! They will replace the whole thing with a new one I am pretty sure. Pursue it! Many folks successfully use the Dometic. It's a good unit. Dometic knows their liability and this problem. Check their other recalls, not just yours and see the repetitive same recalls. Don't be alarmed, just go thru the process and you will get a new fridge. A plus to it is they put a less sensitive controller that is more forgiving of the "wild" high finish rate of coach converter chargers. I see Ken replied on the Buzz box. I never bought a new one but I lurk on the VAL and they really know their stuff. Join that. Ask them. They know. In the meantime I would follow any suggestions by Ken Wilson. He really knows his stuff. He doesn't say much but when he does, I listen. -Eddie- Houston, TX ----- Original Message ----- > Eddie, thank you for all the info! > > I will have my husband check the volts when he comes home this weekend. > Sounds like it might be a good idea to go ahead and replace the old 1969 > "buzz box" with an updated unit.
