Joe - I can't address your question directly, but my Interstate
batteries (2 of them on my Bubble) routinely charge in the 13 - 14V
range with the "Charge Wizard" in charge and they're coming up on 4
years service.

them with a vehicle. I remember that several people said if you got an
Optima you needed to get a modern battery charger because overcharging
them kills them. Being that automobile charging systems run over 12V,
up around 14V according to my gauge on the dash, would that toast the
battery if you charged with the vehicle as you drove down the road
