I will need new tires soon on my single axle Overlander. I am considering
getting 7.00X15 radials, but your reason for going with bias plys intrigues
me. By the way, I have heard that sometime in 2006 Goodyear started getting
their Marathons from China. The people who have actually seen these tires
say that they look substantially better than the older ones made in Canada.
I am wondering if anyone has experience with the Chinese Marathons. So far I
have heard of no problems with the Chinese version. Maybe the Chinese have
actually gotten something right? Or maybe they put lead in their tires as
well?!?
BTW I have been running on Marathons since the mid '80's and seem to be one
of the few people who have not had problems with them.

... The reason I like the 7.00x15 bias plys, is because of the stiffer
sidewall and has less roll/sway on a single axle trailer. Never had any
problems. I'll keep running them. All the Goodyear radials I've tried, blow
out.
