GAS,
Well, you could light your whole trailer or home with on bulb using fiber
optics, but wow you'd have to run a gagle of the fiber strands bunching
where you wanted whatever light and they are all on or off at the same time.
I am sure the cost of the fiber strands is high, and I do not know the light
loss if any on the run lengths. Certainly is a technology not to be ignored
in certain applications. I don't know if there are different quality color
grades of the fiber. Light emitted color would be simple to change. Just
alter the source for a rainbow of colors. One extraordinary super bright LED
could theoretically light your entire structure for about $0.25 or less per
year. Now wouldn't that get a meter reader out to your house? A whole
different field, I don't know enough about it, but wish I did.
