GAS,
Are you wanting the 50 watt 12 volt edison, or the 120 volt. I assume the 12
volt since you say 50 watt? There is a 12VDC E27-W24 in wide and narrow
angle at Super Bright LEDS link -
https://www.superbrightleds.com/other_bulbs.htm medium base. I could not
find a 12 volt edison base. There are two drop in edison base in 120 volt.
My research of all the other sites so far results in a much higher cost of
everything offered. I think I sent you the 120 volt link.
You could go to Depot, Loews or hardware stores and get a base conversion
screw-in insert for the medium base bulb, but the lights output is about 20
watt equivalent and won't shine down in a horizontal installation. I bought
the 1156-PCB-WHP9 High Power 9 LED lamp shown on the same page and it is
extremely bright. I also bought the 1156-PCB-W36 White which is good in the
parlor lamps, but way too bright in the outside porch light. The 9 LED's of
the WHP9 are much brighter than the 36 in the W36.
Of course to use the 1156 base you would have to get a edison base bulb,
break away the glass and clean out the base, then either convert it to a
1156 base or just cut off the 1156 base and solder on the wires to the
edison base. Or you might more easily convert the edison base of the fixture
to a 1156 base from a cheapy light. I used zip ties to position and secure
the 1.5" little board. You must put a little piece of electrical tape around
the metal base, or put a piece of tape on the back of the board to prevent
it from contacting and shorting out against the base if you tie it to there
like I did. Heat is miniscule so the tie and tape will not be affected.
