Yes, it makes sense to not have the door open in front of the window.
However they did not have to design things so that would be the case. I few
years ago I looked at a new Airstream. While it was one of the few without
suicide doors, it did however swing in front of a window, and would hit it
too if the window was opened. How's that for good design!!!
