What kind of wood is it? my 65 Trade Wind has a walnut  interior. when I was 
in the piano business a life time ago we used napha and 4  ot steel wool to 
clean up  badly abused finish followed by washing down  with Ivory soap and damp 
rags. than polished .It worked sometimes used mostly on  repo.As far as glue 
I would need to see first in order to advise you.
