Original owner on our '67 Caravel had rigged a fresh water tank level gauge on the front wall, curbside, behind the sliding-out table. It was protected in there, but dark. And the tubing had discolored enough over the years to be a bit difficult to read without a flashlight shining on it. But it still functioned for a guage. Huff
