Re: [VAL] Moving battery from rear to tongue

When I reinforced the tongue on the Globe Trotter I welded angle irons
across between the frames, then riveted an aluminum shelf to accommodate the
battery box just behind the gas bottles. The battery sits there in a
plastic marine type box, with lid. Wires pass through the front wall in a
spot where the original battery was. The original box was built to
accommodate a narrow battery located in a narrow box on the front of the
trailer.

I'm with Dr. G, I prefer the battery outside. On the Overlander it is
located inside the back utility area beside the toilet. I have suspected
that the hydrogen gas gives one a headache, but do not know for sure.

Good luck. GAS
