Re: [VAL] 69 Safari window lever slot

There is a product called Billy's Bugstop which looks sort of like a
slide rule ( dating myself) a clear piece of plastic that moves in a
slide to let the window arm go up and down and keep insects out. I got
one at a flea market, dunno if they are available or if they are any good.

The original equipment would be a double line of short gray stiff
(nylon ?)fringe that is glued on either side of the slot. The fibers
meet in the middle, close around the window arm , and thereby keep the
bugs out. It is available from Inland, you glue it down and remove the
retaining stitches.

Mine are 4 years old, and get sort of lazy about springiing back as
designed, but so far don't let enough bugs in to bother. More come in
the door.....
