Re: [VAL] tambor

Scott,

Are the tracks that the doors ride in horizontally *square* with the tambour
door? I suspect that if you mounted all of your doors horizontally you'd
have the same problem IF they were not installed perpendicular precisely --
door to coil frame.

I would think that the vertical doors are merely sitting "in" the coil track
on the bottom track and the upper track is merely guiding the door.
Different story for the horizontal doors that must "hang" onto the end coils
which cause them to make full contact with the coil frames.

I doubt that you added cloth to the area of the door where it would ride in
the coil frame track, correct? Are the ends of the horizontal doors smooth
and really clean? Can you apply a polish to the ends that ride in the
horizontal coil tracks? I would think that the entire edges, from top to
bottom, of the tambour doors mounted horizontally would need to be polished
baby bottom smooth and the same idea would go for the coil track they ride
in.
