Re: [VAL] What type of battery should I get?

Hi, Noah, getting a new battery? ;^)>

If you are going to keep the trailer plugged in, turn on one of the the
lights and keep it on. The constant load will keep the battery from
being over charged (which is not good for ANY battery). If you are
going to be hooked up only when in the trailer I would expect that the
univolt won't hurt either battery. (All things being equal, I prefer
AGM, but that's more foible than any real reason.) Off season it is best
to disconnect and store the battery in a heated area.

When I was in the Infantry we would run a generator to keep the
batteries charged in the armoured personnel carrier (running radios,
lights, etc.) and the battery with the coolatron cooler was always
happy, while the other one needed constant refilling. The insertion of
cold beverage into the coolatron was entirely secondary to keeping that
battery from dying.
