I was in the same boat last week. Didn't wanna replace the univolt at the
moment, but needed a new battery.

I opted for a deep cycle battery that allows for the addition of water (most
are sealed). I don't plan to ever leave the trailer plugged in while unused
so I should avoid the overcharging. I will also check the electolyte level
every week during use.
