Hi Tom:

No, it isn't a vent - the hole is only through the inner skin.  Nearby is
the vent for the Panel Ray heater, which does go through both layers.  And
the 14" square vent is right next to it.  The metal dome over the hole looks
like a light fixture to me, and I've read that 50's trailers often had a 12
volt dome light.

Anybody else know what this is?
