Jo Ann,
The early 50's and 40's Airstreams were painted a shade of mat lime green
inside. This sounds kinda bizarre but my 50 Airstream  Limited has remnants
of this color in it and it actually looks quite nice and is definitely
soothing to the senses. This would be back dating your trailer by a few
years but it would still suit it. If you check out RJ's archives you can see
a few examples. Someone may even have done a color match.
