Re: [VAL] Interior colors

Hi Joann,

Decorating the inside of an AS is a real challenge. I like to think of
it as being inside an ostrich egg.

I don't think many of the standard interior desecrator rules really
apply. And I agree that although wild oats sounds good (as in sowing
them..) it is pretty blah.

There seem to be four schools of thought :

Purist-strict restoration
Flamingo-period but fun (no deep changes)
Just Camping-make the systems work and go
Personalized-fairly serious craftmanship and redesign.

Most of us sort of wander from one to the other as the notion takes us.
I would not put a Thermo-San back in, but I would LOVE to have a gray
tank. I took down the remains of the curtain rods and went for blinds. I
just finished putting bamboo rug on the walls of my rear bedroom up to
about my nose height, and I put aluminum stucky tiles on my kitchen wall.

Hunter has painted some of her walls what I would call Venetian Red, and
some a warm beige. She has added wood in places, and it leans towards
the Ralph Lauren trailer that was sort of Adirondack and sort of Cowboy.
It is warm and inviting and cosy, it feels like it is her own space.

That's the key, that it is your space, it might be a personal fantasy
getaway or just the means to get camping. If you like messing with it,
go for it. It's only paint.
