 The gas will be fine, there's no degradation over time that I know of.

You'll no doubt have to get new OPD valves when you go to get them refilled.
If they're steel tanks, you might be nearly as well-off to simply replace
the tanks, but that's not the case with aluminum jobs. Cost is about 20-30
dollars/tank for updating, plus the cost to refill.
