There were two periods when either Reese or Draw-Tite had advertisements
like you mention.  In the late 1960s/early 1970s it was with a 1968/69
Oldsmobile Toronado/Cadillac Eldorado - - then in the late 1970s/early
1980s I believe that it was Reese promoting its hitch with the Chevrolet
Citation.  I took the bait and tried an outfit of Pontiac Phoenix with
17' Nomad - - the hitch was OK but the car despite its rating wasn't
capable of towing even a tent trailer.
