You can sometimes drill a small hole through the motor casing, near
the bearing, to get some lubricant in. I use Marvel Mystery Oil or a
mixture of MMO and ATF or STP. You need to get it IN to the bearing, not
just around it. If the shaft protrudes, set the motor on end, shaft up,
and apply the oil to the shaft, as close to the bearing as possible. Let
it sit, rotating the shaft every now and then.
It might not work, you might still have to replace the motor... I've had
mixed success with these things.
