[VAC] Re: Replacement Refrigerator

Hi Daisy,

When I retired the Domentic from my '69 Safari, I tested it out of the
trailer - worked fine, but the plastic had deteriorated to extent that the
unit was unusable. I bought another smaller Dometic to use in the Safari
and noted that the pitch of the condenser tubes had considerably more pitch
than the older original from the Safari. IMHO, the steeper pitch gives the
unit more lattitude for front to rear leveling. Just thinking about the
design, it seems that side to side leveling would not be a serious
consideration. However, there might be a consideration with regard to the
return flow from inside the freezer compartment.

My guess is that it's not difficult to level the trailer. I have quite a
pitch for both side and length on my driveway. I'm not a sailor and need a
somewhat level playing surface for sleeping, walking, etc. :)

I read most everything about the refrigerators and file responses I like.
