Gary, I checked the model on the fridge I pulled out of my ' 68 Tradewind.
It was a model MD56. It's the second Dometic I have replaced which was a
factor I suppose in getting the old one out and the new one in. I had a ' 73
Sovereign for several years up until 1988 and somewhere in there I replaced
the Dometic it had when "burping" didn't help it cool. Both came out and
went back in the same way as best I can remember from before. The fit in the
current Tradewind was tighter than I remember from the 31 footer. I was
puzzled by your comment about using rivets to install yours. I didn't rivet
anything in either of mine or have an opportunity to do so.

I had mentioned parts availability from mine earlier but only got one taker
who thought he could use the shelves. They were the right size but attached
differently in his box so he couldn't use them after all.
