[VAC] Use Of Hydraulic-Electric Brake Controller in a Late Model Dodge Ram

Jim,

Just as I transmitted my second message on the subject and returned to the
e-mail screen, I found your reply. Thanks for the information. I will go
to NAPA today and inquire about a 10mm, 10mm, 3/16" Tee fitting. I guess if
brass is all that is offered, I better heed the warnings and pass on it.
Tuna's discussion regarding using brass explains why the warning against
using brass should be followed.

Gerald,

Thanks for your thoughtful and detailed suggestions. You offered a couple
of great ideas. I would never have thought of it, but it makes wonderful
sense that the existing Tee fittings installed on the truck at the factory
would work and would be available at a MOPAR parts counter. I'll visit my
local Dodge truck dealer (where I refused to buy my truck) and check on your
suggestion.

Tuna,

Thanks for your reply also. I had intended to install a Tee upstream of the
proportioning valve but was a little nervous because of all the complex
lines and magic boxes. Your comment makes sense. The proportioning valve
won't know or care what caused an imbalance upstream, it should attempt to
balance the two lines as you stated.

Once again, I am impressed by and grateful for the wealth of knowledge,
reason, and willingness to help others that is so frequently given on the
VAC List.

Thanks,

Harvey
