Bob,
 There's no room for much of anything under the typical RV toilet,
they're usually mounted right on the top of the tank, which is about 6
-> 8" deep. This mounting is dictated by the fact that RV toilets use
little or no water for flushing; what water is used is mainly to rinse
the bowl. A household toilet has a tank to provide at least 1 1/2
gallons, to as high as 5 gallons of water to rinse the bowl and flush
the waste down a long line to the sewer or septic tank. That line might
be 100' or more long, with a couple of bends, so it needs some help to
get the waste down it.
