Hmm. On the
plastic part of the flange, there should be a couple small
flat
spots or
tabs opposite of each other. Try a piece of wood cut to fit
that'll wedge in
tight between those spots that you can also attach the
the fabricated
handle to. It sounds like you have the same set-up
that mine had.
I should
mention tho, that I removed my flange after the tank was out
of the
trailer. The floor was so rotted around the toilet that I did not
need to
remove the flange prior to removing the tank.
