When the tank in my '65 globetrotter cracked, I had it "welded". Looked just like metal does when welded; melted and wavy. Reinforced it with wood when I installed the tank. Worked just fine; 10 years before I sold it. Had it done at Inland. BUT, it did cost me a 'tankload' of money.
