FYI, west system makes a variety of fillers to go with their epoxy, and have
very complete instructions and documentation on strength, weight, ease in
fairing, and workability, plus a variety of catalysts with different set-up
speeds for different kind of work, and for working in different temps. Not
sure it's any better than sawdust, but it is there, and takes the guesswork
out.

rotted areas filled with West System epoxy & filler. Finally--NO MORE ANNUAL
VARNISHING, and wood solid as cast iron.
