[VAC] Re: Replacing carpet.

Ed,
I did that!  I tore out all the old carpet and installed 18"x18" carpet
tiles.
The old carpet stunk and was an addition at some point- the original floor
was tile.
Tack strips held the old carpet down- they weren"t" hard to remove.
I laid the squares loose with a tight fit. Seems to work.
Oh, another thing- the smell went away with the carpet!
