We have Direct TV and the equipment was installed by the previous owner... I
had a little trouble convincing the DTV people that I didn't steal the
equipment and they charged for a new card..(we had the card used by the
previous owner) . and for start up....We don't subscribe to local channels,
but I understand we could get "local" channels based on our billing
address.....Also no "Sports Package" ????

We always have some trouble getting the system locked in and use the Postal
Zip Code and the menu on the TV to get the direction and the tilt...The
paper work from the dish gives tilt vs. crank turns....There is apparently
some flexibility in our mounting and high winds will put us out of business
if we are not dead on.....Trees are a real bummer and what used to be the
desired parking spot is now the worst....need nice clear look to the
south....

I would like to hear from someone who has the auto tune dishes....an elegant
solution.....I am thinking I need to add an antenna for local channels... we
have been in locations where we could not get the sattelite but everyone
around us was watching the local channels....

Some would say forget about the TV while camping, but weather , news and a
movie once in a while is nice....I can't call what our family does camping
anyway....
